William started shooting weddings in 1999. He received his bachelor of Science at Appalachian State University where he studied technical photography, Criminal Justice, and Psychology; he also held a chief
photographer position for the University. His photography
services have been provided to numerous private individuals and companies, as well as the United States Federal Government; and his work has been published in a variety of Virginia and North Carolina newspapers. He has years of experience shooting both 35mm film and digital images. William's unique blend of photography is a combination of the photo-journalistic style that also incorporates the artistic style of photography. William now works mainly in Central Virginia, but will often travel reasonable distances to accommodate clients desired locations. For weddings, William uses Canon 20D Digital SLR camera and shoots in RAW format. Photographs can be converted into any type of imaging desired ie: black and white, sepia toned, etc.

A message from William:
A question I get from a lot of potential clients is "Why are your rates cheaper than most?" My honest answer is that I don't do what I do to make an exorbitant amount of money. The truth is I LOVE what I do, I love being able to share my talent of photography with everyone. Everything in the wedding industr
y is highly over priced and that is because it is expected that a high cost means high quality, but this is of course not always true. I understand how stressful wedding preparations are, and especially how stressful the wedding day can be, so as the wedding photographer I do all that I can to eliminate any extra stress. I meet with my clients in advance to go over a check sheet of their desired photographs. I show my clients a full wedding album of a previous wedding; I do this because any photographer can shoot a thousand pictures and have two or three good ones to show, I show my clients that all my photographs are top quality. I also go over all the expectations that the clients have, this way there are no mysteries to be dealt with on the day of the wedding. The fortunate benefit clients have is that they know exactly what they are getting on their wedding day, William. Unfortunately the trend of large wedding photography businesses is they show you their best photographer's work, have their best looking and friendliest photographer meet with you, and on the wedding day the photographer the company sent isn't the photographer you were so excited about photographing your wedding. I feel your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and I give you wonderful memories that will last forever.
